Sirimoni – Sirimoni route

Day 1: Sirimoni gate to Old Moses camp
After Breakfast, all the equipment required for your climb is sorted and organized. After a brief stop at Nanyuki for a photo opportunity at the Equatorial line, the vehicle proceeds onto the Sirimon Track as far as the Mount Kenya National Park Gate. From here you hike 9Km up to the Old Moses Camp (3300m).
This two to three hours hike is essential for acclimatization and is also very interesting as you hike through four of the mountain vegetation belts - the tropical rain forest, bamboo jungle, rose wood and heather zones. These are also the areas where you are most likely to see animals.

Mt Kenya trip – Naromoru- Naromoru route 4 days /3nights

DAY 1 Nairobi –Naromoru – Met station
Drive from Nairobi  to Naromoru  after sorting out  drive  to Naromoru park entrance, after signing inn start your 3 hours hike , through the rain forest, part of the trail follows a good track through dense forests alive with bird song and the sounds of noisy Columbus monkeys. Elephants also inhabit these parts, but they are rare these days and we will be lucky to se one. This two to three hours hike is essential for acclimatization and is also very interesting as you hike through the mountain vegetation belts , you will reach the  Met Station(3048m) late in the  afternoon for dinner and overnight in bunk house ,


DAY 2 Met station – Mackinders camp
After early break fast  around(730am -800am ) you will start your 6-7 hours hike you  will emerge on the edge of the forest where it joins the moor land zone, giant heather and alpine zones, the hike offers gentle climb through fascinating vegetation with nice perspective of the back ground.. Picnic lunch will be provided on the way  then you will follow the trails  edge of the you reach the crescent of Teleki valley proceeding to the spectacular Teleki valley dotted with Lobelias, you will  cross northern Naromoru  river up to Mackinders camp(4200m) late in the  afternoon ,have dinner and overnight
in bunk house. Walking time is 6-7 hours depending on individual fitness

4 days/ 3nights trip Sirimon – Chogoria route

Day 1: Sirimon Gate (2650m) to Old Moses (3300m)
Estimated hiking time = 3 hours

From hotel you will  proceeds Mount Kenya National Park onto the Sirimon Track with a  brief stop at Nanyuki for a photo opportunity at the Equatorial line as far as the. From here you hike 9Km up to the Old Moses Camp (3300m) for over night in hut. This 3 hours hike is essential for acclimatization and is also very interesting as you hike through four of the mountain vegetation belts - the tropical rain forest, bamboo jungle, rose wood and heather zones. These are also the areas where you are most likely to see animals.


Day2 Old Moses (3300 m) to Shiptons Camp (4200m)
Estimated hiking time = 7 hours

Your hike starts around 0730hrs going via the new Sirimon route through the beautiful and unique Alpine Moor land Zone., here the climb offer a gentle climb through fascinating vegetation with a chance of seeing the peaks, From Likii North Valley ascend for the glimpse of the peaks, proceeding to the spectacular Mackinders valley dotted with Lobelias before the climb up to Shiptons camp (4,200 m) with views of the North faces of Nelion and Batian peaks. You arrive at Shiptons Camp (4200m), late afternoon and have dinner and overnight here (in hut)
