Flamingos in Lake Nakuru with Africa Alpine Expeditions

Day 1: Lake Naivasha

Shortly after leaving Nairobi the vast panorama of the Great Rift Valley unfolds before you and there are splendid stopping places from which the photograph is entrancing spectacles. Have 2/3 hours walk to Mt. Longonot national park later evening boat ride in the lake to watch the many species of birds and hippos. Dinner and overnight at campsite or guest house

Day 2: Lake Nakuru

Pick up from your hotel by 9 a.m, we drive down the Escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley, to Lake Nakuru. Lunch followed by an extensive afternoon game drive. The lake has been called โ€˜the new home of the flamingoโ€™ with a nomad population of up to two million birds. Lunch and then proceed for an afternoon game drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park.

This small park (180 sq km) is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhinos at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologistโ€™s delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. We spend the night at a campsite just outside of town.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru- Nairobi

After breakfast, you will drive leisurely back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon Drop off at your hotel where your tour ends
