Day 1: Sirimon Gate (2,650m) to Old Moses (3,300m)

From the hotel, you will proceed to Mount Kenya National Park onto the Sirimon Track with a brief stop at Nanyuki for a photo opportunity at the Equatorial line as far as the. From here you hike 9 km up to the Old Moses Camp (3300m) for overnight in the hut.
This 3 hours hike is essential for acclimatization and is also very interesting as you hike through four of the mountain vegetation belts – the tropical rain forest, bamboo jungle, rosewood, and heather zones. These are also the areas where you are most likely to see animals.
Day 2: Old Moses (3,300 m) to Shiptons Camp (4,200m)

Your hike starts around 0730hrs going via the new Sirimon route through the beautiful and unique Alpine Moorland Zone., here the climb offers a gentle climb through fascinating vegetation with a chance of seeing the peaks.
From Likii North Valley ascend for a glimpse of the peaks, proceeding to the spectacular Mackinders Valley dotted with Lobelias before the climb up to Shipton’s camp (4,200 m) with views of the North faces of Nelion and Batian peaks. You arrive at Shiptons Camp (4200m), in the late afternoon and have dinner and overnight here (in a hut)
Day 3: Shipton’s Camp – point Lenana (4,985 m) – Meru Mont Kenya Bandas (2,950m)

At dawn 300 am ascend to Point Lenana (4985m) (Estimated hiking time =3 hours) You are then most likely to be successful in reaching the summit as well as having the clearest view of the majestic scenery. If the sky is clear right across the southern part of Kenya, you will be able to view the peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro above the clouds over 340 kilometers away.
Then descend to Mintos hut (4200M) (descending time =(2hours) for breakfast, Afterwards you will have a gentle hike down a broad ridge enjoying magnificent views back up the valley to the snowy peaks, and down to waterfalls, tarns and lava flows in the Gorges Valley itself.
Overnight at Chogoria Bandas (2950m) provided with hot showers.) (Descending time =5 hours) for overnight in a hut, the facility got hot showers
Day 4: Meru Mt Kenya Bandas- Chogoria – Nairobi
From Meru Bandas you will take the 4×4 transfer directly from the camp to take you to Chogoria town to meet with the awaiting transfer to Nairobi. , sometimes the road is very rough and in bad condition during the wet season and may cause delays.
Alternatively, you can hike down in the rain forest for 2 hours and then connect with 4×4 transportition in forest to Chogoria town to meet with the awaiting transfer to Nairobi or another planned destination.
